The appeal of exquisite white porcelain that expresses beauty through its pure white skin and shape
A potter living in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. It has a dignified personality, a smooth pure white skin with no clouding, a perfect shape without distortion, and among the many gorgeous paintings of Arita ware, there is no extravagant decoration, just the pure white skin and shape make it beautiful. Manji Inoue, a holder of important intangible cultural property (Living National Treasure), expresses the supreme white porcelain. Now over 90 years old, he continues to make pottery while also devoting himself to nurturing the next generation.
