In Karatsu ware, there is a type of glaze that is intentionally penetrated, called jakatsu glaze. When a feldspathic glaze is applied to the surface of the black glaze and fired, the feldspar glaze shrinks more than the black glaze, and the black glaze is visible through the shrinkage gap, creating a complex and unique scenery. It came to be called Jakatsu because its curly intrusions resemble the epidermis of a snake or scorpion. In addition, this work has line carvings and Kairagi, making it a work of art with many highlights.
