This is a small bowl that resembles flower petals, like a flower plate. Karatsu, which has a beautiful bright loquat color, uses soil from Yamase. A cloudy straw ash glaze is applied and fired over wood. The soil around the foot ring is exposed and the rough, warm flavor of the soil is appealing.
