New arrivals and restocking will be notified by mail magazine on a priority basis.
This is a restocked item. This vase features a beautiful gradation of blue on the moist white porcelain, created using the traditional Arita ware technique of "fukisumi". The size fits in the hand, making it a lovely piece, and it looks picturesque just by placing it. Because it is a small vase, it can be enjoyed in limited spaces such as the kitchen, entrance, or bathroom, and it would also look great with wild flowers picked from the roadside. The "Henko" vase, which is also the title of this work, has a distinctive shape (a vase pressed tightly on both sides to make it flat), but it is actually a vessel shape that has been made since ancient times all over the world, including ancient Egypt, pre-Christian China, and Japan during the Momoyama period, and was mainly used to carry sake. The narrow mouth makes it difficult for water to evaporate.
